The whole neighborhood had a power black-out. It was 11:30 pm when it happened. Dad thought it was just a minor trip. My about-to-sleep brothers plus my Mom came downstairs to see what was happening.

We went outside to cool ourselves down. It was freaking hot in the power-less house. Mom lit 3 candles to light up the house while my brothers fanned themselves. I was outside, taking in the beauty of the night sky. On first glance, it was as if the colors of the sky had inverted. White sky, midnight-blue clouds. After a while, i found out that it was just my imagination pulling my leg.

I checked my phone: 12 am. Now the midnight sky was an earthy-red color, except it was much much much more faded.

12:30 am. Mom and my brothers went back to sleep. The power hadn't return yet. I was sleepy. I went back to sleep too. The next morning I woke up at 11 am.
